Tweaked!

DH and I spent the entire day organizing our storage room, which houses the contents of our previous 3-bedroom home. Naturally DH did the majority of the labor but I was up and down off the floor countless times and now my back is tweaked, hardcore.

Has anyone had any positive experiences with a chiropractor? I don't really want to spend the money but lying on my back for a week is out of the question and when I walk I look like The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

Suggestions?

Re: Tweaked!

  • I went to the chiropractor quite a bit when I was pg with DS.  It helped tremendously with sciatic pain I was having.  Definitely go! Your insurance might cover it - mine did!

  • I go to the chiropractor twice a week. He does a great job and I always feel better. He's also helped with my neck pain and headaches. From what I understand most insurances cover it, and if not the office can work out a pretty good payment plan with you. When I wasn't insured I paid $25 a visit, now I just pay my small co-pay.

  • I also see a chiropractor on a regular basis. He has helped me with neck pain and headaches, low back pain and just overall a good straightening.

My chiro has a table that has a special release to accomodate pregnant bellies. My sister is 37 weeks and she see the same chiro as I and she is equally as satisfied.

I say do some research, make sure you find someone that work with pragnant women and go for it!

  • I love love them. I have a good rec for you, I will have to find his email but he is amazing. I have a funny back since a bad car wreck.
  • I have been seeing one for maintenane ( about once a month, maybe less some months) and have continued to see my chiro while pregnant, when needed.  His wife has had three children and he adjusted her through out the pregnancies.

I have not been in several weeks, but the last time I went, I felt my hip was out a pit and it helped a ton!

  • I just went last week for my sciatic pain.  I hadn't seen him since I got pregnant but couldn't take the pain anymore.  I haven't had any pain since seeing him....so glad I went!  My initial visit was $38, and each visit after is $28.  Our insurance doesn't cover my visits, but it's so worth it.  Hope you feel better!
