Kinda worried/nervous - ER timing

I've been through 3 retrievals now and every time my retrieval has been 36.5 hours after trigger.  They first time they stressed that it needed to be at 36.5 hours.

Fast forward to yesterday --  I got my instructions yesterday afternoon to trigger at 7:30 (Tuesday), arrive at the center at 8am.  I was super worried that my retrieval would be at 37 hours instead of 36.5 (retrieval at 8:30).  I called today to check to make sure I had the right time and she said yes -- arrive at 8 and retrieval at 9.  That's 37.5 hours -- so a full hour later than what they stressed initially.

I know they know what they are doing, but I guess I'm worried that someone made a calculation mistake.  I'm hoping there aren't any issues tomorrow.  I'm so worried that I'll have already ovulated.  UGH.  WHy does IF make me so neurotic?  Am I being ridiculous?  All the girls on here seem to have their retrievals between 34-36 hours from what I've read in past posts over the last two years.

Re: Kinda worried/nervous - ER timing

  • At one of my ERs they were running pretty late.  I asked the nurse if there was any built in time to the shot or was it dangerous that they were running late b/c of the time I took my trigger.  The nurse told me that the trigger has a 3 hour window/give-time.  I was probably an hour later for ER than I should have been and everything turned out fine.

I hope that everything goes smoothly for you tomorrow!

    Good luck!!

  • I do not think you are being ridiculous at all. This process definitely makes us very neurotic. They stress the exactness of timing and dosage so it is only natural that we question everything. But you double checked and they gave you the same instruction so just breathe and trust that they are right. Good luck sweetie!!

  • I wish I could remember the timing on mine because I swear it was later than what most girls were posting on here.  Everything worked out just fine.  I am sure you'll be ok.  I always tell myself they want to do it properly so they will have good success rates.  That seems to ease my mind a bit.
