Last night's last feeding was 3oz of expressed milk at 9:30 as per baby's request. She ate all but a quarter of an ounce, no biggie.
She fell asleep in daddy's arms so he put her in her cradle. I go in to pump and what do you know? She wakes up. I finish and set her back to sleep.
I get in bed. She wakes and cries. And cries. And cries. So I nursed her and she passed out and I put her back in the crib without burping her for fear she'd wake again.
She woke at 4:45 am, which you would think, 'Yay for her!' No, not yay. She eats another 3oz bottle and as I'm pumping, wakes up and so I try to feed her some of the freshly expressed stuff. She ate one ounce, but I think it was more out of gassiness than hunger. I tried for an HOUR to put that kid to sleep. I gave in and laid down with her in my arms, where she of course passed out.
2 min later, DH's alarms go off every 5 min for the next 30 min. I'm now wide awake from praying she doesn't wake up again. But it didn't matter, because every time she grunted in my arm I'd look to make sure she was okay and that carried on until 7am.
On the upside though, my sister who lives in Japan has a flight out of Osaka tomorrow morning and will be here in San Diego with me tomorrow night. I'm totally excited, not only to have her out of the country when we don't know what's going on with the nuclear reactors but also because I haven't seen her in 3 exact years. She hasn't even met my 3yr old, and the last time my son saw her he was just over a year so he doesn't remember her either. But I'm so tired. Oh yay, she's crying again. God help me!!
