If you go by my LMP, I am due on Saturday, if you go by conception, I am due today, and if you go by my dating ultrasound (from 12 weeks) I was due last Sunday. I am currently 1cm, 50% effaced, and -1, and have been this for 2 weeks. I have a doctor appt. scheduled for Friday to see if I'm any further along, but my doctor would like to induce me on Monday if I'm 2cm, if I'm not, she said it's up to me, but the chance of a C-section are much greater.
This may all be for nothing and I'm praying I go on my own by this weekend, but if I don't, would you try the induction on Monday? There is no medical reason, so I feel a bit guilty, but going by my dating ultrasound, I would be 41 weeks. Also, if I don't do the induction on Monday I probably won't get my doctor, not a huge deal, but still a factor as I really like her. What would you do, wait it out for another week or take the induction on Monday as long as I'm 2cm? Thanks for your input, and hopefully this is not a decision I will have to make!
Re: Another Induction Question, WWYD?
It's a difficult decision. I was induced on 3/7, 2 days shy of 42 weeks, but I didn't deliver until 3/9. It depends on your personal beliefs. They can monitor your baby's condition with a biophysical profile.
I personally wish I had waited a few more days, but who knows how long it would have taken?!
I am not a big fan of inductions, so I would go as long as the doctor would possibly let you without an induction.
In your case with your 3 possible due dates, I would take whichever is the latest and not be induced before 41 weeks going by that date.
This.
If she did this it puts the baby at greater risk for Merconium poisioning, which is life threatening to a newborn.
I personally would take the dr.'s advice and do it whenever she recomends.

If you try to hold off until 41 weeks from the latest due date, I just assumed your Dr. would run the proper tests to make sure the baby was still fine, so you wouldn't run such health risks to your or baby.
