Hi ladies!

I've lurked here for several months, but I never thought I'd be posting so soon.  Long story short - after almost 18 months of TTC, DH and I were successful with IUI #2.  Soon after we discovered we were having twins, BOYS!  I knew that the boys would be born early, but I never thought I'd be delivering them at 29w6d. 

Both boys are in NICU and are breathing with little O2 support.  No CPAP or vent.  I know it's going to be a long, hard road.  Thanks in advance for your support, advice and wisdom!

    First and foremost, Congratulations! This board (and the early arrivals forum on diaperswappers.com) were a saving grace when my little lady made her early appearance. Thoughts and prayers your way for a short NICU stay!

    Congrats on your boys!! Tyler was born on 2/12 at 28w4d. He was in the NICU for 20 days and then moved to the special care nursery closer to home. He has been there for 13 days. We expect a long road ahead but he is doing really well so far. So I know what you are going through! This board really saved my sanity and continues to do so every day. I hope your NICU stay is short and uneventful!

    Welcome!  I've been thinking about you and your boys!  I'm so glad to hear that so far they are doing well. Hang in there, the NICU can seem like a rollercoaster ride.  PM me if you need to talk!

    Congrats and welcome.  My DD was born at 30 weeks and is doing great.  We were in the hospital for 69 days and it was hard I won't lie but she is now a happy and healthy 20 month old.  She is at or above her actual age for almost all her developmental milestones.  It gets better I promise!

    Congrats!!

    It sounds like your boys are doing great so far!  T&P to your little guys.

    My advice is to remember to take care of yourself too during this time.  My DS was born at 26w2d and it was a long stay, so taking evenings off to recharge once in a while were really important.
