Weekend Getaway....destination? Ideas?

I want to suprise DH with a little getaway in March, and want to stay somewhat in the area.  I really wanted to book a weekend at PSU for a basketball game, but there are no weekend games.  My other ideas were AC (we've done and it's fun, but wanted something different if possible) or the Poconos.....and that's it, I'm out of good ideas!  And if you just  have a place to rec. in any of the above mentioned, I'd appreciate that too!

    If your DH likes football, you could go to PSU the weekend of April 16 for the Blue/White scrimmage game.  It's free!  

    I like to hit up NYC for a weekend trip.  Baltimore is an easy drive or train ride and it's nice to spend some time in the inner harbor.  We also enjoyed weekend trips to Gettysburg and Pittsburgh.

    I second the idea of NYC. We went up for our anniversary to see a show and stay the weekend. I had never been outside the Times Square area so it was fun doing all the touristy things. Oh and we saw Avenue Q, hysterical!

    I agree with Baltimore, I always have a good time there.  You could also do a weekend in DC.

    March in the poconos is still good for skiing, tubing, horseback riding if you are into any of those.

    You could also get great prices on a bed and breakfast in Cape May.  It's a nice time ot be down there and restaurants and shopping are still open.  Take a cruise on the ferry (not to expensive if you just walk on and snuggle for a 2-way cruise), do a little shopping, walk the bird path by the light house (it's a long walk).

    So exciting I was trying to plan the same thing except I'm trying to get us to go to Vagas lol but if flights are too expensive then we might go to NYC. I really wanted to go to Bermunda so im still looking for last minute deals the cold weather here is just too much to take.

    We love going to the shore, my favorite is Ocean City, NJ.  You could also try Cape May, lots of cute bed and breakfasts there.
