WW help please?

I'm using the recipie builder and am confused as heck

? cup quinoa= 8 points

1tbs oil=4 points

2 carrots

2 celery

Onion

Pepper

All zero

 

Add it all together and it?s 20?  Divide by 3 and it?s 7 points?

Yet if I put the items directly into the points tracker in thirds I get 4 points.

WTF?!?!?

  • SOmtimes its off, I would go with 7pts and even if your at 8pts 1 pt is not going to make or break you!

    And while I was writing this, I was on hold with WW for 10 minutes while they consulted.  Their verdict?  It?s like they?re veggie soup I?m adding quinoa too so enter the items in my individual tracker.  Still confused.  I don?t want to cheat myself by either over or under counting. And I?m paying for this?!?!?

     

    But I haven't been able to hit my points yet this week so we'll see.

  • Yep it's flawed, the answer I got was something like when you add bulk amounts for fruits and veggies to the recipe it accounts for that and adds pts to it.  But we are told Fruits and veggies are zero pts.  It's silly.  I left WW this week because I felt like I was being cheated, fruit and veggies DO have calories, and I want them to  count.  Personally I would go with the recipe amount it's probably going to be more realistic.  When I first switched to Myfitnesspal I would take the numbers from my entire meal and compute it into the calculator to get my pts on WW.

    Their entire new system is flawed. I didn't lose any weight. That's why I cancelled my subscription and moved on over to My Fitness Pal. I am down 8 lbs.

  • Yeah, that kind of stuff happens to me sometimes.  I usually just round up as much as I don't like it.
