Becoming our most annoying poster

I feel like all I do lately is complain to you girls. I am so sorry to be such a Debbie Downer! So my complaint for today is: I now have a terrible cold!! I have had a sore throat for a couple of days but I thought it was from crying about Baylee. (Thanks for all your well wishes and sympathy yesterday-so sweet. :) ) But this morning I woke up with my head in a vice and all stuffed up to high heaven. I cannot stop thinking that this is yet another thing to make my body unhealthy for my embies. Is there anything that is safe to take or would you girls just tough it out? Thanks for listening!!

Feel better soon. Check with your RE, but I'm told that anything with Tylenol is fine, (like Tylenol cold, etc.). Hugs!

I am so sorry you are still in pain! Your body went thru a lot so I am sure it is completely normal but it doesn't make it any easier. I hope you have lots of good TV/movies and reading material to keep you busy! I wish you had next week off as well-it's hard to know how soon we'll feel better. (((Hugs)))

Thanks girls-I so appreciate your kindness. :)

  • I'm so sorry hon. As if you're not stressed enough...I hope you're feeling better soon.

FWIW, I read a story about a lady who came down with the flu the day of her ET. She said she was coughing so hard between ET and her beta, it felt like she bruised her ribs and she was sure her cycle was going to fail. It didn't and she wound up PG with twins!

I would call your RE and take something to relieve your symptoms. Anything "Tylenol" based should be fine.

Jessica-that story makes me feel SO much better-thank you!! I am not so worried about being sick-I can handle a cold. I am just afraid for what it's doing to my embies. Don't know if that's stupid or not.

  • There is nothing annoying about you, Abbe. We all go trhough tough times in life....sometimes we need to lean on others a bit more. You've been through a lot recently and we're here for you!

I personally would just stick to tylenol, chicken soup, oj and tea with lemon and honey. I also highly recommend a Vick's vaporizer. I use it whenever I feel myself getting stuffy and it helps me breathe easier at night. I don't think it would be unsafe becasue it is just going into the air in a light mist but you could call the RE and ask. Rest is probably the best thing you can do for yourself.

    Takce care, sweetie (((hugs)))
