Grand Caravan owners w/3.8L Engine, Question for you!

We are planning on getting a Grand Caravan, the one we're looking at has a 3.8L engine and is a 2005.  It's got the captains chairs and the 3rd row seat folds into the floor. 

A friend told us that this model gets crappy gas mileage.  The dealer told us it gets around 21mpg on the highway.   Has anyone else calculated it and realized it gets less?

    We had a 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport. The gas mileage was ok.  I would google it though.
