For anyone who may have experienced this... Does back labor always wrap around to the front when you are having contractions?
My doc stripped my membranes yesterday and afterward I was having a lot of cramping and back pain, but this morning (and probably last night since I woke up about 30 times from the back pain) it seems to be a more "ebb and flow" kind of pain. It will be fine and then gradually get more severe to a peak and then subside - but I don't ever really feel a "tightening" per se in my uterus. I can't figure out if these are actual contractions or just residual back pain. They are only lasting about 20-30 seconds and not quite every 20-30 minutes.
Thanks for any advice!
Re: Back labor?
I experienced a lot of back labour in the beginning of my labour since E was "sunny side up" until it came time to push. I did feel the tightening of the uterus, and then it would spread all the way to my back.
What you're experiencing definitely sounds like it could be contractions.
