Last night as my husband was enjoying his belly time as he calls it.. he was rubbing my belly and talking to our daughter it made me fall more in love with him imagining what an amazing dad he was gonna be. He already loved her so much and she wasnt even here... I knew i already loved him but it was a different feeling last night. Had to share my new found love.
Re: Anyone else falling more in love?
I agree 100%. I've always known I have a great husband, but I do feel like I'm falling in love with him all over again watching him fall into the role of dad-to-be. I can't wait to watch him with her when she's an outside baby!
Yep. It's pretty amazing. DH sings to little Kennedy all the time, calls her his princess and tells her how much he's going to spoil her and mommy
I'm really glad he's so excited. I can't wait to see him hold her!
I feel the same way. DH went to a "Daddy Boot Camp" last weekend and came home happy and excited. He couldn't wait to tell me about what they talked about, especially the "feeding and care of mom once the baby comes home." I love that he also signed up to be a "veteran dad" and go back to the class with our LO to talk about his new dad experiences.
We had some CDs arrive on Monday. He's been practicing changing diapers on my Grinch doll. It's pretty cute, given that he's never changed a real diaper. I also appreciate that he's not complaining about my lack of desire to cook dinner.
I know exactly what you mean. I laugh at MH, because he'll say that it's been awhile since he rubbed/talked to my belly if he hasn't done it in a day or so. He misses the quality time spent with our inside baby, I guess!
YES!!! He's so happy and excited. I love seeing him be so enthusiastic about becoming a daddy. She has been the reason he FINALLY left a job he hates in hopes of giving her a better life. He now works less hours and actually has weekends off which we've never had. His salary is only slightly less but he has a pension and benefits too...
He's also super helpful and was so excited to do the work in the baby's room. Now that it's done, last night he was standing in the doorway and said "I could just stare at this room all day"
He always says "goodnight Abbey, I love you" before going to sleep...
I love him so much!
the other day on a bathroom trip I walked into the nursery to sneak a peek and DH came in there too. We were standing in the doorway and he just grabbed me and hugged me and kissed me and told me how happy he was. I literally had to turn away after so he wouldn't see me tearing up it was so sweet.
A few weeks ago he kissed my belly and my eyes instantly glazed over. Again, I hid it.
He is not an emotional kind of guy so stuff like that means a lot to me.

Yes!!! DH has been AMAZING!!! He got so excited when the crib and changer were delivered, that he put them together before I got home from work, blindfolded me, and led me into the house to see them!
He reads to her, sings to her, says he loves her and can't wait to meet her.... Not to mention, he has been SPOILING me rotten! He massages my back every single night, packs me lunches for work (i'm a teacher), and has helped out tremendously with the household chores. He even is the one who grocery shops every week!
I LOVE MY HUSBAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My DH does this too... I melt
