Should I go to the one in Loveland or the sale in West Chester this weekend? I usually go to the sales in West Chester and I love them. Are the sales on the East side good??
I am torn as well. I did hear at the Mason sale last weekend that the Lakota West sale is the mother of all consignment sales. The Mason sale was my first try at them, and I am sooooo hooked now. I fully plan to drag the man and the child with me to wherever I end up on Saturday. Hoping the seasoned shoppers will get in here and advise us.
I personally tend to avoid the West Chester sales. They are huge, but there are so many people that if you want the big items you have to arrive EARLY. I'm talking 6:30AM. Since I'm not that committed, I stick to the smaller sales. Though there are still plenty of smaller items (clothes, toys) at the West Chester sales if you arrive later.
I do the Mothers Exchange sale @ Lakota West every year (twice a year). I don't know that I agree with PP with how early you have to get there though. I have found some good deals and I get there shortly before opening. Perhaps it depends on what you're looking for? I have been pretty pleased with my finds like Cozy Coupes, music tables, and whatnot. Now the nicest kitchens will go early for sure but as long as you are there before opening and you head to the big toys section first you should still find some steals.
I will be at Lakota West early Saturday with my coffee. See some of you there
I go to the Lakota West sale twice a year also. I don't get there extra early, just a few minutes- but they are right the good stuff will go fast, so you need to prioritize!
(I was going to tell everyone the sale sucks just so they wouldn't go, but I guess I'm in a good mood today!)
