Easier, harder or same to conceive #2?

Hi 2 under 2 moms,

What was the timing like on conceiving baby #2? Did you conceive when you wanted, or did it take longer (or shorter)?

Much easier. With DD, I had to take clomid after 9 cycles.

Pregnancy #2 - 2 cycles

Pregnancy #3 - 2 cycles

Pregnancy #4 - 2 weeks after m/c

With my first pregnancy it took 17 months and we had been doing fertility testing and weighing options when we randomly got pregnant on our own. With #2 it was 2 months of not even really trying and we were pregnant again!

About the same - 3 cycles for DS1 (and the m/c I had), and 2 cycles for DS2.

Much easier for me. The first pregnancy I took clomid and say a RE it took about 17 months. This pregnancy it was 2 cycles after getting of BC with no other meds.

MUCH easier - DS took 18 months, clomid and 2 IUIs. DD took just one time after I weaned DS, and hadn't even gotten a ppAF yet. I was not exactly expecting that!

Easier

Took almost 2 years to get pg with DS. Took 2 months to get pg with DD.

I got pregnant with DD after a year of fertility treatments. I got pregnant with DS while on bc a few months after giving birth to DD. Way shorter than I wanted.

Even though it took longer to conceive #2, I was still happy with the timing. We started at a point when it was OK if it happened right away and OK if it happened six months from then. It ended up happening three months after we started trying (whereas with #1, it happened right away).

way easier with #2. DD took 18 months with a miscarriage prior to her. DC#2 one cycle no temping or anything.

DD - 5 months of really trying (but it was immediately after getting off BCP)

m/c - 2 cycles, only sort of trying

this time - immediately after m/c (no AF in between)

Reverse engineering this ( Stick out tongue

), it was the same. We took two cycles to get pregnancy with DS#1 (on purpose), and I got pregnant with DS#2 the second cycle I ovulated. I realize NOW that the lighter periods that I had for several months meant I wasn't ovulating. The second cycle I ovulated, I got pregnant.
