I was boiling our bottles tonight to get ready for LO since i will be formula feeding. Then i realized I had no idea what kind of water to use with the formula. Should i use tap water or bottled water? TIA
That would be a good question for your pediatrian as they might be more familiar with what the tap water is like in your area. Our tap water was fine but I still chose to use bottled water for DS. If you do use tap water, you'll need to boil it first for the first few weeks or so.
I used tap water that I boiled for the first few months with my daughter. The doctor said I only needed to do it for a few weeks. I agree though talk to your pediatrician and see what they say.
I agree - ask the pediatrician because it depends how your local water is treated and how old your plumbing is. I used tap water with DD when I switched her to formula. But if you tend to be a more panicky first time parent, keep in mind that this is not something life or death (you know, unless there's some random water borne disease scare in your area : P) so if you ever have to use a different source than you usually do because you're out for the day, your child will be ok
