I'm thinking about starting to buy size 3M items since we'll have a summer baby. So far, all I have bought is a few onesies. Have you ladies bought anything?

I have a lot from my first son, but he was born in Feb. so the season is off. Most will work out at some point, so we have not bought much. Just some onsies, and 2 sleepers for the hospital. I am going to go through some things in storage this weekend and see what, if anything we need to buy.

I have all the way up to 12 months!!. My husband doesn't like to expect things from people ( no offense for those who have showers), we don't have much friends and family so it is mostly on us to provide for our kids. I actually went today to Carters and Oshkosh and saved A TON!. With my coupons and double stamp Tuesdays.
i have a few cute clothes - 3 or 4 onesies, a pair of mittens a few pairs of socks, a couple of singlets and 2 pairs of leggings - i just can't resist when i go shopping.... i know i'll probably be given loads of stuff at my shower but its nice to be putting clothes in the nursery for baby

We have clothes all the way up to 12 months too. We have been buying things on clearance throughout the pregnancy, and have actually gotten some great deals! I am having a lot of showers (5, yes it's crazy), but I still don't think that we'll get THAT many outfits. And even if we do, I can always exchange them for a different size.
I already had a lot of stuff saved, but I've also bought or been given a lot too. I don't have many cute outfits yet though, just onesies and pajamas. I counted last night and I have over 50 onesies! All different sizes thankfully.
If you're having a shower I would wait until after that to buy anything. Or at least keep the tags on what you buy.
I saved everything from my first son and am lucky that it will be the same seasons. Right now they are all in rubber maid containers organized by size. So far I have just gone through all the newborn and 0-3 month stuff. Still not washed or in his dresser, but I was able to see what I have and if there is anything else I will need right away.
I have bought a couple of things for next winter because they were half off. I got a box full of clothes from my sisters friend who had a little boy last June (and she said she has more for us). I also got 6 bags full from my moms friend who had a little boy in July and she said she will keep handing things down to us. Most of the stuff we got hadn't even been worn and stilll had tags on them. He is already a lucky little guy (and best of all everything was free even though we offered to pay)
Loving life with two boys who are 10 months apart and can't wait for team green baby to join us and thinking daily about our angel who was with us for a very short time. (CP at 4 weeks and 5 days)
No. I bought one cute onesie on a whim, and we got each other some funny ones for Xmas (a super pooper one from me, and DH got AC/DC and metallica onesies). My mom keeps telling me to wait til after my showers to get anything. Honestly, my parents will be back in the country in a few weeks and my family/friends shower is right after that, so I don't mind waiting. That way mom and I can go shopping together It's fun to ooh and ahh over the cute clothes with someone.

We have bought lots of clothes already. Ive not lived in australia for very long so dont know many people and all my family are in england so i wont be having a baby shower so its down to us to get everything sorted for her . I have 2 boys and im expecting a little girl plus the youngest of the boys is 11 so we really had to buy EVERYTHING lol its kind of like shes our first as we are having to start from scratch.
Every time I see my mom or MIL, they come with a bag of clothes. My bestie has sent me a huge box of cute things, too (and says more is coming). In all honesty, I don't think we'll have to buy clothes for this child until after his first birthday
I've picked up a few outfits. Mostly they are the small sizes for the summer but I snagged a few bigger sizes for next winter. I know my mom's going nuts with clothes and I'm going to go through DS's clothes and reuse a lot. Like pajamas and play clothes. At least if we're at home she can wear his old stuff but I'll (try) to change her if we go out in public.
nope. we were team green with my last pregnancy, so i have a bunch of gender-neutral newborn-3month stuff already. i suppose i should dig it out of the attic eventually.

I have bought a few long sleeved onsies for the fall b/c they were cute and on sale. I also have bought 2 newborn outfits as potentials to bring her home in.
Yup, clothese all the way up to 12 months, I'm a sucker for a great deal.
I have also bought a few neccessary items (onezies, socks, hats) just in case I have this baby before my shower. My shower is at 37 weeks, so I want to be prepared at least with some clothes, bottles and diapers.
I have some onesies and dresses that have bought as gifts. I have only bought a coming home outfit, I am waiting till after my showers to guy anything else.
I have bought a about 3 or 4 onesies, my mom has bought a few pairs of jammies and my SIL has bought a few onesies, receiving blankets, and burp clothes. I also had a friend from work hand down some socks and mittens. My SIL has already bought more things and is stock piling it for us. Everything we have gotten thus far is 0-3 months.
I've been picking up stuff on sale at Gymboree & Janie and Jack if the prices are too good to pass up -- that stuff is usually in sizes over 6 months though, since it's past season.
I also pick up preemie outfits @ Marshalls/Ross/TJ Maxx whenever I see them. They are usually under $5/each. I found that even newborn sizes were too big on my girls when they were born (7lbs 1oz and 6lbs 11 oz) and I don't like when clothes hang off an infant - it doesn't look comfortable for them, so I like to make sure I have stuff to "fit" the baby at every age.
I used preemie outfits for at least 3 weeks (because the baby will usually lose weight when they go home and take about 2 weeks to catch back up to birth weight) so it's worth it to me.
I don't have any 0-3 or 3-6 stuff yet. I assume I'll get more than enough at my shower and after she is born.
I am having 2 big showers and 1 small shower. My mom and Dh's mom have already started giving us clothes. I've bought a few clothes that have special meaning though.
This is my second child and no one is throwing a shower for us, so we have started picking up a few items. So far, I've bought mostly 0-3 month clothing, but guess I should get some Newborn sized items too. I also have a few 6 month items for fall.
Re: Have you started buying clothes for your LO?
Nope, not really. I'm waiting to buy whatever I need after my showers. I'm sure I'll get tons of clothes at them both.
Plus, my Mom has already bought tons of clothes for me, as I'm sure other family members have.

Yep. Have bought a couple of newborn outfits and mostly 3 month size clothes. I want to see how big he is at birth and then can buy more at that time.
We got a lot of really cute clothes at our shower this past weekend, but I need to go through it all and figure out what sizes everything is.
Also, a neighbor mentioned she had garbage bags full of infant stuff they want to give us, so I'm trying not to buy a ton of stuff I don't need!
I already had a lot of stuff saved, but I've also bought or been given a lot too. I don't have many cute outfits yet though, just onesies and pajamas. I counted last night and I have over 50 onesies! All different sizes thankfully.

Yes! It's a sickness.
She has more clothing, shoes and accessories than any newborn should ever have. But, she is my first and she's my baby girl.
Do I feel guilty..... NOPE!
