Does anyone have any advice for a natural way to treat insomnia? I toss and turn all night and end up with about 2-3 hours of sleep. This is making it very difficult to work and take care of my son.
I did that for about 4 year straight! Nearly killed me! It was all anxiety related! Just try to find something to relax you and your mind. Sometimes that is a book, wine, melatonin (natural herb), or something along those lines. There are also some herbal teas that can help. Good luck. The more you stress over it the worse it will become so try to relax!

Niacin and Valerian root have helped me a lot and I used to pop a sleeuping pill every night.

Reading usually works for me, and limiting any kind of TV, computer, phone right before bed. How about a cup of herbal tea or a night-time yoga dvd meant for relaxation? Some people say wine, but that usually makes me tired then wakes me up a few hours later. Good luck! I have occasional insomnia, and it's horrible.

My stepdad drinks a small glass of wine every night, to help with his heart, but he also said that he sleeps really well.
Myself - I take 10mg of Ambien everynight and sleep like a baby.
Chamomile tablets- wonderful! You can get them at any vitamin store.
- no caffeine after 1pm
- no electronics (computer, tv, cell phone, radio etc) 1 hour prior to bed.
- read a book (always makes me tired!)
- no lights when sleeping
