STD for PPD

I'm expecting to get PPD, I'm already anxious and depressed prepartum and i've had moderate depression for a long time.  how does short term disability work with this in conjunction with the birth?  tia.

    I'm guessing it depends on your HR's policy, but I think I've heard someone else say that her OB wrote a note that she wasn't ready to go back to work but didn't specify PPD.

    DS born 8/2010 - preliminary stages of SN int'l adoption - fur mama to 2 shelter dogs;  cloth diapering, babywearing, EBFing mama

    my dr. suggested i take extended disability for ppd.  i've sent in the paperwork, waiting to hear back
