I'm trying to make as much baby food as possible for DD b/c I have severe food allergies, so we are doing slow introductions. BUT - we are traveling this weekend (Cali...whoo hoo!) & I dont want to have to worry about making food while on vacay. It seems like Sprout is the only brand that has single veggies & not mixes? Has anyone used it? I'm looking at getting some of the sweet potato & some of the squash...and then i'll do the simpley fruit Plum brand.
any other recs??
Re: anyone use Sprout babyfood?
Sprout is pretty good.
Do you mean single veggies like stage 1's? Earth's Best has a pretty good variety of stage 1 vegetables, Lucas loves that brand.
And, I'm really jealous you're going to California. Sad face.
I just dont know if i want to travel with glass jars like Earth's Best comes in - but i'll see what Whole Foods has & then decide!
don't be that jealous...it's supposed to rain 2 of the 3 full days we are there...but hey, at least i get to look at palm trees instead of snow!
I thought about the glass after I posted it. Not sure where you are going/staying, but when I travel I just go to the store and stock up for the trip. Could you just do that?
T for true about the packaging. I forgot that part since I was just focusing on the food. It is a pain in the butt to re-seal if your LO doesn't eat it all but I would just buy the 2.5 ounce portions so DS would eat it all at one time and I didn't have to worry about that.
Gerber has an organics line that has single ingredients and is in plastic tubs. They have small tubs and big tubs.
I have used Sprout, Plum, Ella's Kitchen, Happy Baby all in pouches.
We used Sprout baby food when we were traveling. Like you, I make my own food, but did not want to do so while on vacation. Our daughter loved the food. She liked their apples a lot better than the apples I make her. Not sure what that was all about!
Also, because of the containers, it was easy for travel.
