I had my 39 week appointment this morning. My BP was elevated and I have actually gained 10 lbs in a week. I have no idea how, but I suppose the scale doesn't lie. However, there was no protein in my urine. My doctor was still concerned, so he ordered an u/s and it is estimated that LO is around 9lbs 5oz. Because my BP was so high, my doctor wanted to schedule a c-section. Luck of the Irish has it that he only does (scheduled) c-sections on Thursdays and Fridays, so we are all set to go for a 5:30 pm surgery on St. Patty's Day!
I am nervous about the c-section. I didn't really want to have one, but whatever my doctor thinks will produce a healthy baby and healthy mama, that's what we'll do. DH and I are both very Irish, and LO's name will be Connor Patrick. How fitting ![]()
My LB will keep you all updated after Connor arrives, hopefully safe and sound.
We can't wait!!!!
