3 months in... NOW the jealousy starts...

DS1 has been so good so far! Now that #2 is awake more, he's getting jealous. I work FT and when we get home he just gets his blankie and says Mama Mama Mama until I hold him. He also yells Ow if LO so much as touches him. DH and I try our best to give him enough attention, but its so hard after work! There's never enough time, is there?

    My kids are about the same age distance as yours, 2years & 1month to be exact.  My son definitely had some jealousy in the beginning.  Especially when his grandpa would pay attention to his baby sister.  As I'm sure you know, things get better as the baby gets older and can play a little more with the older sibling.  My daughter is one now and son is 3 and he definitely loves his little sister, looks for her as soon as he gets home from daycare, asks about her when she's not around.  And the other day when I got home from work he ran to her and put his arms around her and told me, "No, my baby!"

    All in all, I've learned that it's not the older child that gets the shaft as far as attention goes, but the younger one.  The squeaky hinge gets the oil I suppose.
