With DS#1, we had to use a specific, pricier formula. I am *hoping* we'll be able to do something different with DS#2. He'll be exclusively formula-fed. Does anyone have any experience with the Costco formula? Any other kind you like, that is more economical than Similac/Enfamil? Even though it's only been a couple years, it looks like formula options out there have evolved some.
Thanks!

We primarily bf, W got mixed bottles when I was gone, and now does a formula bottle at bedtime. We used Similac because they kept sending me coupons and I liked the "to go" packs since we were occaional users. I recently got the Costco formula and he seems fine with it.
Since Costco takes formula checks you could do the Similac, but it is more expensive. Hopefully your little guy won't be picky and you can pick up whatever is on sale/coupon/checks.

We mostly used Target's version of Gentlease. I tried Costco once and hated how foamy it got and it seemed to take a lot of shaking for the powder to disolve. Another Target advantage? Target's everywhere and they're open until 10pm in case you have a formula emergency.
I'd also use Enfamil if there was a good sale and I had a formula check. Walgereen's would run some great deals with register rewards.
We use Similac Sensitive mainly. We tried the Costco brand but it made DS constipated. Ash told me that she had heard it did that to other kids. Costco has the Similac Sensitive in a 2lb jug for $27.
With DD we have done the formula game, like you did with DS#1. I think the Target brands are great deals for the standard Similacs and Enfamils. Such good deals.
