I get so irked when someone talks "baby talk" to my son. I don't mean higher pitched talking... I mean adding a "y" to the end of every word.
Examples:
"Does baby want a napp-y?"
"That was a big poop-y in the diap-y"
"Your sock-y fell off."
"Do you want to sit in your swing-y?"
Ugh... it annoys the crap out of me
Re: I hate baby talk
I agree
We call the burp cloth a "burpy" or maybe it's "burpee" cause that's a funnier spelling. We got this from someone else who was helping us in the early days and we use it sort of tongue in cheek "hand me a burpee" etc.
Otherwise I agree. Poopy etc is kind of annoying. But what I really HATE, is when my MIL does voices for the baby in a high pitched annoying voice. "He's saying 'Mommmy i wanna go outside'"
FVCK YOU, no he is not. Do not talk for my child. He will speak for himself soon enough. She did this when he was in the WOMB and I nicely asked her to cut it out. I want to smack her every damm time she does it.
