AW!!!! And a question

After 6 months of waiting guess who will finally be getting child support. Me!!!!

In the beginning he was going to have to put DS on his insurance, but they decided that the $478 it was going to cost wouldn't be affordable.

So, my question is, how much do you or your ex spend on insurance?

Re: AW!!!! And a question

  • I spend:

    $51/month for B's health insurance.

    $14 something/month for B's life insurance.

    STBXH pays diddly squat.

And YAY for finally getting some moolah!  I hope I'll be getting some soon too!

  • $126 and change for health insurance through my employer (with a $7k deductible as we're now considered on a 'family plan'), and we each pay half for premiums. He refuses to pay anything towards the deductible so we'll see what happens.....

A few dollars bi-weekly for life/accidental death & dismemberment - also through my employer (I choose this on my own so I don't ask DB to pay for it)

  • Approx 500/mo.  + 200 deducted monthly for my HSA.  That includes health and dental.  And 30/mo for life ins.  I pay everything.  he will have to pay some of that in in the settlement, but as of right now i do and have been paying it all.

well worth it.  but still.  VOMIT. so much money.

  • $126/month for a family plan. I've been paying it since STBXH and I got married and since Brody was born.

  • he pays about $30/mo to cover himself and our kids on his work's medical/dental/vision plan, and he gets a credit off his child support for it.

    SS10 - SD9 - DD7 - DS5 - DS born 10/3/12
  • I only pay about $50/month for family coverage, but I work for a large health insurance company. I guess that breaks down to about $15/month for just DS. Because if it was just me, it would be about $30, me and DS would be like $45 and for all of us is $50. I am very lucky in that respect.

  • I have healthy families for DS so it's $10/month plus a $5 co-pay when DS goes to the doctor.

  • Yay for finally getting some CS!!

I pay $180 per month for the both of us through my employer but get a $40 credit for being a non smoker...and DB doesn't help pay at all.  I'm in the process of getting life insurance for both LO and myself so we'll be adding that in also (about $30/month).
