How scary!! I just saw on the news that 300 years ago, a smaller earthquake (8.3 maybe?) set off Mt. Fuji (35 days later). There are now reports of a "separate" earthquake on the west coast of Japan that was a 6.2 magnitude. I hope everything starts to calm down soon!!
Re: NBR: Japan
Very scary! My dad is actually working in Japan for the month and my mom flew out yesterday to be with him for the final week of his trip. Her plane was supposed to touch down about the time the quake happened. There was lots of craziness and they still are not together yet, but I'm so thankful I've been able to communicate with both of them today and they are both safe. Of all times for them to be there!
But oh the devastation and destruction just looks awful. Praying for all those people...I cannot even imagine.
I went to high school in Tokyo and my father still lives there. He is refusing to leave, because he feels he needs to stay with his team at the office who are mostly Japanese. So far he is okay and has a good spirit, but I am really hoping he chooses to come to the states for a while. Many of my friends living there seem to be leaving Tokyo today to go south or stateside.
My thoughts are with you and your families ladies.
