2 yr old party help

We are having Coop's 2nd birthday at a play center with his friends (maybe 10-12 of them). We have a choice of 2 party food packages to choose from.

Option 1). Popcorn, cheezels, wafer biscuits, chocolate crackles, fairy bread, jello cups, balloon, favour bag and all drinks included that will be $219 for 10 children and an additional $20 per head for any children after that. OR -

Option 2). All the same as above PLUS - Nuggets, fries, sausages, fruit slices all for $304 for 10 children, then $27.50 per head for any children over that number.

WWYD? The party is at 3:30pm so it will be more like an afternoon tea as the children would have already presumably had lunch. I know that the kids will just want to run & play on all the fun things they have there so I am not really sure that it is worth spending the extra money knowing it will probably go to waste. We will ofcourse have a birthday cake to have also.

Thoughts?

  • Skip the sausages. Snacks are plenty at mid afternoon.

  • Option 1 sounds like plenty of food, especially since it is at a time between lunch and dinner. You then of course spend the money you saved on a little something for you =)

  • Number one. The second seems like way too much food.

  • definitely option 1!

  • I agree with everyone else .. option 1 .. the kids will be too interested in playing to eat much anyways.
  • Option #1.  That's definitely more than enough at that time of day.
  • I agree, Option 1 for sure!

  • One question...what is fairy bread?  Is it something I should start craving, because it seems like I should!  ;)

  • Fairy bread - that's hilarious!  butter and sprinkles.  Who would have thought that up? I can see how it's a kid favorite though!

It is sooooo good Jill! Most parents still eat it at kid's parties too - I know I always do :)
