Hi Chicago moms and moms-to-be!
I didn't do anything out of the ordinary for Fat Tuesday. I ended up doing a little shopping for spring clothes for my 2yo though. I'm ready to whip out the spring clothes! And while I am Catholic, I'm not giving up anything for lent this year. I figure with this pregnancy I'm already making some sacrifices
I'm definitely missing my daily caffeine jolt and my occasional glass of red wine!

I am so boring - I did nothing different for Fat Tuesday! Before I was a SAHM, I used to have a paczki at work. But, nothing this year! I wish I would have thought of it...I would have had DH make some Hurricanes! Just kidding! And, I am not Catholic, so nothing to give up. Man, I am boring!
Hi Everyone! I would like to be a part of this group. I have 1 DD , born 5/1/2007 and one step DD, 7/27/2001. I am pregnant with my second one, but I am not sure how far along I am or when my due date is ( no period since I stopped using BC), but I will find out in like 11 hours at my us! I Live in Lake in the Hills now, but I grew up in Elgin.
As for the QOTW, all I did for Fat Tuesdays was develope a mean craving for muffalettas!!

I didn't do anything "fun" for Fat Tuesday either. I had leftover soup, which was really good.
I'm not giving anything up food/drink related for Lent, but I'm going to try to not swear so much. Wish me luck! haha.
This exactly for me! I gave up all sweets, so I binged on sweets on Tuesday. As I said on FB, my Tuesday night put the Very Hungry Caterpillar's Saturday night to shame! (For all you moms out there who have read that book 1000 times! or those of you who remember it well enough to know what I'm talking about!)
Episcopalians give up stuff for Lent too, I think. Not 100% sure, but as a Catholic considering the switchover, I should know that!
We didn't do anything. DH took our lab to obedience class, that's about it. I had a paczki for the first time though. It was quite delicious. Since I'm not Catholic, I have not given anything up for lent.
