DD never liked the swing in the beginning, but I haven't tried her in it in over a month. Anyone's LO went from hating the swing to loving it? I'm going to try it again tomorrow. Hoping Mr. Swing won't be a complete waste of moola...
L used to scream in the swing, and we put it up for a few months. We brought it back out at my moms house where she stays during the day, and now she really likes it! Good luck! It's worth a second try.

DS used to hate the swing and then we heard from a friend that her baby would only nap in the swing (on high speed.) We were having trouble getting daytime naps out of him so we tried it once. Shazam - another reliable nap place. If we can get him in it when he's a little tired, but hasn't crossed over into hungry yet, then he will nap in the swing (on highspeed) for up to an hour sometimes. And often when he wakes up he is super mellow and just sits there in it for awhile. So yes, count us in the converted and healed column. Amen.
We have the Mamaroo and she loves it... but she only takes naps in it for an hour or so. Not like for a few hours or anything. I thought she wouldn't like it because there are no toys...but she likes lounging around looking at photo frames and curtains lol while listening to some white noise haha
Anthony hated the swing when he was a few weeks old; I think he was too over-stimulated by the rocking motion, music and mobile. We tried it again around the 5-week mark, and he loved it. Now, he will rarely nap anywhere else besides the swing!

DS hated the swing at first too. Now he can hang out in it and not act like it's killing him (we have the FP Rainforest swing). He does best when he's either jsut swinging or just looking up at the mobile. If you get the swing, mobile and sound going all at once he gets overstimulated. I imagine it'd be hard to track the mobile when you're swaying, so I get it.
I bought a different swing and he was instantly happy.
Before I bought it, I tried him in the other one just to check and see and it was still a "no". I'm not sure what the major difference is- they both swing, you know?- but it worked for us.

Yes! Despite frequent attempts, LO hated it in the beginning, so I tucked it away in the guest bedroom and forgot about it. I brought it out a few days ago to take apart and put in storage, and I decided to try him in it again one more time. Well, he slept for two hours in that thing! The child has never napped longer than 30 minutes, ever! He's loved it every time I've put him in since then, and in fact, I'm going to go use it now to see if he will nap because I've exhausted all other options at this point!
