Spit-Up

DD has always spit-up, but it's normally really thin and runny. Pretty much looks like exactly what went down. However, the past two days its gotten very thick, almost mucus-like and it's clear with some specks of white. It sticks to her mouth/face and we pretty much have to scope it out of her mouth. DH jokingly made a comment last night that she looks like she is foaming at the mouth. Is this normal spit-up behaviour?

In my experience, yes. DS's is like that right now - curdled milk. He's got a cold, I think he's spitting up more than usual b/c of the mucus.

Lucas doesn't spit up, but I remember my nieces spit up being like that

The acid in their stomachs curdles the milk. I joke that S makes his own ricotta.

My Pedi said that as soon as the milk hits the stomach, it curdles, so if it comes up after it hits the stomach, it will look like that and is completely normal.

I actually just got done cleaning this same thing out of DS mouth.
