I've gone from spending around $120 a week to around $150 - Buying pretty much the same stuff. Was thinking it's probably related to the price of gas spiking. Anyone else seeing a difference at the grocery store?

Re: Do You See Grocery Prices Rising?
Absolutely.
Not fun when you have two almost toddlers who already out eat you.

Miles has a milk allergy, so we have to do soy milk (or almond, or rice). The prices on all of those have gone up a lot in the past couple of weeks. And it was already expensive. Blargh.
Anytime I'm out, I've got a running dialog going with Jackson - I gets lots of bizarre looks... lol
I have been noticing things creeping up now for about a month or more. I did find that when I buy local from my co-op like Milk that is from local farmers and no hormones rbbst's or whatever they are lol I pay 2/6.00 which is a great deal if you ask me. And they have a program buy 12 gallons (punch card) get 2 free when the card is full.
But for sure other things have gone up. I have just learned that It kinda pays to go the distance to get a deal. And schedule appointments and such around the days I need to go shopping, if it's possible.
Locally feed has gone up in price, so pork has shot up. South America is having some weather problems, so you are seeing an increase there. We locked in some pork prices locally, and we are planting a large graden as well. I am starting a gleaning group here locally as well to help out people who are having a tuff time making ends meet.
Yes. A lot of the staples that we buy have gone up in price. For example, the Organic Valley milk that I buy has gone up 40 cents per half gallon. I usually buy 4 of them/week. The packs of organic lettuce hearts that I buy have gone up 50 cents and I buy 2-3 of them/week. I buy Arnold's whole wheat bread and that has gone up about 40 or 50 cents a loaf too. There are other things, but this is what came to mind off the top of my head. It stinks.
I have noticed a huge increase especially in fresh fruits and vegetables.
