Baby food makers....recommend your processor and favorite "tools"

My son just turned 5 months and I am hoping to make his baby food. Any recommendations as far as food processor, storage, etc is greatly appreciated. First time mom here :)

Re: Baby food makers....recommend your processor and favorite "tools"

  • I already had a hand blender and it works great. I was glad I didn't have to buy a food processor. I also use ice cube trays, ziploc bags, Saran wrap, and ziploc extra small tupperware to store them in the fridge.

  • I have the baby brezza baby food maker, and I really like it. It steams and then automatically purees after the steaming is finished.

As for storage, I have the Annabel Karmel freeer tray. It is silicone with a plastic lid. I freeze in there and then put the cubes in freezer bags. I also have these:

I really like them and will probably buy another set.

  • I have a kitchenaid food processor that I LOVE.  However pricey, it was a Christmas gift a couple years ago because I just wanted one anyway.  I also use Tovolo silicon ice cube trays (Amazon.com!).  I then transfer the frozen food into zip-loc freezer bags and into a plastic tub in my freezer for storage.  I have read the food stays good in the freezer for 6 weeks.
  • Beaba baby cook and I love it I use anabella carmel travel containers and munchkin silicone food bowls and spoons and I use the beaba baby storage containers for freezing

But I have heard really great things about the baby brezza and the baby bullet :D

Wholesomebabyfood.com says food cubes in the freezer are good for 3-6 months. I go with 3 months tops.
