Hi all,
Just moved here toward the end of last summer and I am still trying to find good parks to take DD to. We found Beverly Park, which we love, but we need another go-to. DD is 7, so nothing with just baby play structures. Oh, and by a good park, I mean one that we can spend a few hours at...so it needs to have restrooms!
We live near 14 mile/Cranbrook, so Royal Oak, Bloomfield, Birmingham, west Troy, are all relatively close to us. Maybe even parts of Farmington? (Still learning my geography!)
In case you can't tell, I am chomping at the BIT to get some springtime weather and get out.of.the.house.
TIA!
Re: recommend a good park near Royal Oak/B'ham
Raintree Park in Troy has bathrooms, but I'm not sure when they open for the season. There are some pretty good play structures there and some baby swings too.
To my knowledge, I don't recall seeing any bathrooms at any Birmingham park...maybe portapotties?
There is also an awesome park in Madison Heights at 12 Mile and John R. There are bathrooms there and on some Fridays in the summer they have kid music concerts that are really fun.
It's a bit of a drive, too, but the park in downtown Rochester is awesome and there are bathrooms there too.
Inglenook Park in Southfield is nice. It's on 12 mile between Evergreen and Lasher. It has a huge play structure, restrooms, and a nature area.
thanks ladies!
