Zerf--Dh said the same thing! We're probably just putting in everyday stuff line diaper rash cream and candy for mom and dad, but he has an Easter sleeper and hat and will have a basket.
We're atheists & I'm seriously considering making Sprout an Easter basket and eating all the candy I put in it myself (which I can't justify buying for myself directly...only indirectly. I am aware this makes no sense). Easter seriously has the best candy!
I REALLY want to buy the kids PBK baskets and mongrammed liners. But since they are a little pricey, I'm trying to resist.
I bought DS some books from kidsteals a few weeks ago...they are not Easter related with the exception of one about a bunny. I may put a little candy in the basket this year.
DD is getting a Biscuit Easter book.
I'm more excited about watching DS go on an Easter egg hunt...and he'll be perfectly happy finding empty eggs at his age.

three words: cadbury mini eggs.
i'm seriously thinking about buying a bunch up and rationing them until the christmas versions come out again.

Oh, me too, they are SO cute! Perhaps I can suggest that for the grandparents if they ask...seeing as how DH is in the "why even do it" camp, I don't think he'll go for the fancy basket!

And now I really want some Easter candy!
I say do it since you will be using it for years, but then again we have them so I may be biased.
Last year we did an Easter Egg Hunt with Maggie - just a few jellybeans in each. The Easter Baskets had candy for Maggie only, Molly got puffs, they each got a DVD and a stuffed rabbit.
I remember my mom doing things like having a string all over the hpouse that we had to follow to our baskets or when we got older a hunt where we found clues to where they were. I can't wait until they are just a bit older to do that.

Re: Easter Baskets
This is H's first Easter and DH didn't want to do anything because she won't remember it but I said no way!
We're getting her the Bambi DVD and maybe an outfit or some sippy cups and a small toy. Nothing major.
