I'm 9 weeks and have noticed a sudden decrease my preg. symptoms in the past few days. Also, there have not been any changes in my breasts in terms of size, etc. and they're no longer soar. I'm sure I'm just being paranoid but I'm a bit nervous that something might be wrong. I had an early u/s done two weeks ago, and the lo had a strong hearbeat at 164. My first pregnancy ended in a missed miscarriage at 9 weeks, so I guess I'm just afraid this will happen again.
I have an appt. with my doctor on Friday. I'm hoping they will try and hear the heartbeat since I will be almost 10 weeks. The last time I was pregnant, they tried to hear the hb at 10 weeks, but could not find it with the doppler. My doctor told me everything was probably fine and refused to do an u/s. I then scheduled a first trimester screening for the following week. It was there I found out there was no hb and the baby had stopped developing at 9 wks. I'm scared to death this will happen again. Sorry for my rambling, but I just need to vent.
Any advice or words of encouragement are appreciated ![]()

I'm just a smidge behind you and my symptoms have mellowed out some too. Girls are still sore, but less noticably so...and they haven't grown in like a month.
I'd ask your doc to try and find the hb on Friday, maybe even call today to request it. Given your history I'd hope they'd oblige.

~All AL'ers welcome~
I can only imagine that this is a really tough week for you. ((hugs))
My doctor said that she expected I'd be more paranoid this time around, and anytime I could call and schedule a quick visit to hear the heart beat. It cannot hurt to call and ask if they can see you real quick sooner.
If it makes any difference, my symptoms have been much more mild this time around. I really try not to over think it, but I know how it makes us nervous!
I'm only 7 weeks but have noticed my bb's getting a lot less sore over the past few days. They were super sore all day long, and now are just noticeable at night and while I sleep, and only at the nips. I know symptoms change and come and go, but I can relate...it's nerve racking. Given your history, I agree with what others have said; it's very reasonable for you to ask for a second u/s and put your mind at ease. I'd push for it. I think calling today and sharing your worries and what happened last time is a good first step. Hang in there! ((hugs))
ETA: I do think the timing has something to do with the added worry. Last time my baby's heart stopped somewhere around week 8. I had no idea. We discovered it around week 10. As I get closer to that now I feel myself worrying more and more. It will be good to get to that second u/s to see if this time is different, but that's not scheduled until the end of April. I meet my OB at the end of week 9 and am going to push for an u/s before the next one is set up.

THIS!
My appetite started coming back right around 9w...& then the limbo phase began (fewer symptoms, no bump or movement yet). I was able to pick up the hb with a cheap-o doppler at 11w, so I agree with Shanna about asking your OB to at least try at your next appointment (& I second demanding a u/s if you can't find it). And, FWIW, I found my doppler to be a GODSEND during that time in limbo.
GL & ((HUGS)). This time can be so stressful!
