Ultrasound/SIL (kind of long)

My SIL found out this weekend that we go on April 1st to find out what we are having. When it comes to the ultrasound I do not care who whats to go with us.  She asked if she could go because she has never seen an ultrasound other than her own (and they were not that good because she did not have insurance so the Dr. rushed hers to get the measurement and be done)  and she nearly busted my eardrum when I told her she could. She could not believe that I would let her since she is not my sister. I had to tell her many times for her to believe that she could go. She lives an hour away from us and we live an hour and fifteen minutes from the dr. So I told her she would have to be at my house by 6:30 in the morning to go.  Her response was that she would be there at 6 to help get my other 2 children ready so that we would not be late.  As we got off the phone I would hear her yelling the news to everyone around her.  She can be so over dramatic.  So now as if I was not excited enough about going to the ultrasound, I can not wait to she how she reacts to finding out the same moment we do.

    That is really, really nice of you to let her go.   I know a lot of people on here are uptight about IL's etc and this is a refreshing change to see.

    My computer messed up and did not let me type.  Thanks. My SIL is nutty but great. So I have no problem with her going.  If only my MIL was as easy to deal with I would have it made.

    That's really nice of you to include her. I know some people say that us pregnant people think everyone cares about our pregnancy when in reality a lot don't. This just proves that some families make it a family event. It's nice to see.

    That's wonderful that she is so excited and that you have allowed her such a treat!  I'm sure she'll never forget it and it will bond her and your LO for years to come!
