Contractions or not??

I've been having some menstral like cramping tonight (pretty intense) all in my back and lower abdomen.  LO has been moving around but my belly really hasn't been tightening up.  I've been having discharge for about a week and earlier tonight was the first time it was a little pink (just barely pink). 

The pains have only been somewhat timeable.  I  haven't experienced any BH and honestly have no idea what to expect contractions to feel like since everyone explains them differently.  I am, however, dilated to a 2 and have been for 2 weeks so that means something has been happening, right?

I am just worried I'm not going to know the difference between contractions and just some normal pains.

BTW: Today is my due date!

    it def sounds like it is something...just wait until they get 5 minutes apart, lasting for 1 minute, for at least an hour.  Good luck!

    Contractions feel differet for everyone. I was induced over a week ago, and when I was hooked up to the monitors I was having contractions and didn't even know!! Eventually they started to feel like intense menstrual cramps with back pain.

    Happy due date! I have random pains like that, I think they are "real" contractions. I have had BH pretty bad for weeks and they are just a tightening of my entire belly, sometimes making it hard to breathe. When I have the pain like you described, my belly is not all tight. I haven't had enough of it to be timed or go to the hospital. If the pains are regular, coming and going start timing it!

    sounds like early labor.  I felt pretty much the same all day Thursday and went into full labor by Thursday night

    Definitely sounds like the start of labor! Rest up if you can and you'll know when it's time to go to the hospital. GL!

    Thanks everyone!  I think I've pretty much decided it must be early labor pains.  They lightened up enough for me to fall to sleep but here I am awake again because I'm hurting so bad.  All of your comments have helped!  Just praying that my instinct will kick in and I will know when it is time to go!
