Around 38 weeks I decided to get the house realy clean and ready for baby, since then it has been a battle to try to keep it that way, thinking every day that she could be here any time. Keep in mind that this is with a house full of toddlers for my daycare on a daily basis. Today I say, "if she hasn't come by now at 41 weeks she will just have to come home to a sink of dishes and unswept floor because I am pooped! Deal with it!"

Anybody else struggling to keep their fully nested and prepped house clean while waiting for baby to show?

    i have definitely had a fall in my nesting and a raise in my desire to rest - and I don't have a house full of toddlers!

    Me! But I don't have toddlers to chase around and clean up after..its mostly FI. I don't know how its so hard to just put a dish in the dishwasher instead of the sink...

    I have my husband who is crunching chips over the newly vacuumed (for the 100th time) floor...I feel like Monica from friends trying to keep everything neat and tidy!

    You are so funny!  I'm with ya.  I have a golden retriever who is shedding and loves to chew things up as soon as I finish the floors.  I swear if I don't dust every day it looks like the place has been abandoned for months.  It's exhausting.

    I finally decided that little girl will not look at me and ask to go back to the hospital if the house is not immaculate.

    My mom and grandmother came last week and cleaned, like baseboards to ceiling fans so I feel like I've gotta keep it that way but like some others have mentioned, I don't understand why its so hard to put a dish in the dishwasher or even the sink would be good instead of the bar. It doesn't help that we're packing this place up and have 2 big inside dogs. The lab, much like someone's golden, sheds and I definately feel like I'm fighting a loosing battle with vaccuming.
