Baby hair questions...

If you are a 2nd time mom of a boy, how long did you wait before your DS got his first haircut?  People keep telling me that newborns eventually lose all their hair, but DS hasn't lost any of his yet, and it is getting really long, especially in the back.  I don't want my LO to look like he has a mullet, and it is getting there quickly.  Will he lose some of this hair as he grows quickly or is this something I should just try to trim up quickly at home?

    I would leave it but that is just me. None of my babies have had a haircut until after their first birthday. My mom did that with all of us and I do it with my kids.

    You could trim it if you want to... I don't think that anyone will think your baby has a mullet. If you cut it, make sure you save it.... you don't have to but some baby books have a spot for a lock of hair from the first hair cut.

    My little girl not only has mullet hair going on in the back, but is losing it in the front so she has the mullet of a balding man.

    I'm just going to leave it alone though.

    DS had a full head of hair when he was born and he didn't lose any of it. We let his go until he was a year old. It was long but we loved it. DD has a full head of hair as well and I don't anticipate her losing any of it either. I may not cut my daughters hair until she's abt 5 lol. But girls are different :)

    This is my 3rd boy and they were all born with a head full of hair. They do usually lose some of it. But I've always heard i was bad luck to cut a baby's hair before they were a year. Not sure why, and I;m not a supersticous person but I always went with this.
