XP: Recs for double stroller without infant carrier car seat?

XP from Two Under 2:We were given a Joovy Caboose Ultralight stroller, but I know that we won't be able to use it until DS is at least 6 months old and can sit up on his own. We could use it if we had a snap-in/infant carrier car seat, but we don't, and don't plan on buying one. Any recs for a double stroller that doesnt require the use of a carrier car seat to hold an infant?

  • You can use the double City Mini and lay the baby flat. I don't know about safety, honestly, but my friend does it.

  • We have a double city mini and each side lays completely flat for an infant/newborn.  We love our City Mini and would highly recommend it to anyone in the market for a double - it's a side-by-side but super narrow and fits easily through doorways and such.  It also turns and handles very easily and am surprised by just how smooth it pushes even with the weight of both kids.

  • I did a TON of research and finally came to the decision of the Peg Perego Aria Twin. It is compatable with their brand infant seat, which I don't have, but the seats fold down completely flat. One side is wider than the other, which I will use for my toddler, and the basket underneath is massive.  I use my stroller pretty much every single day, so I wanted something super lightweight. This is probably the lightest one I have ever seen.  It comes in 7 lbs lighter than my Graco Quattro tour at only 19lbs. Folds fairlt compactly and easily. HTH!

  • I don't have one myself but i've been looking at the combi twin for the future and it lies totally flat and is pretty cushy.
