Well I wasn't planning to make my official introduction over here until after my first Dr. appt on next Tuesday but I've had some spotting suddenly and now I have a few questions.
My name is Amy, I found out on 2/23 that we are expecting number 2. I had an early M/C with my first pregnancy in 08 and then had a healthy pregnancy with DD in 09. This makes my 3rd pregnancy. I wasn't charting at the time so I don't know what my actual conception date was, but if I go by my positive OPK's, I should be about 5w4d. I had an abnormally long cycle this month, lmp was Jan 23.
I noticed a little bit of pink spotting mixed in with my CM when I wiped once yesterday afternoon, then it stopped. I noticed slightly more of the same today. Its still mixed in with the CM and not red, and it's nothing like the sudden red bleeding I had with my MC, but it is still frightening me that it may be happening again. I had some aching on my left side yesterday but it felt more like ligament pains than cramping. I'm still not having any cramping today.
Heres my questions, how many of you ladies have experienced something similar and had your pregnancy continue, what did your Dr. say about it? Also, should I be heading straight to the ER since the Dr offices are closed or if it doesn't get any worse, should I call and try to get worked in Monday or wait until my Dr. appt on Tuesday morning?
Thanks in advance ladies! Again, this it not how I wanted to make my intro, but I hope that everything will be ok, and that I will get a chance to get to know you ladies in the coming months.
Re: Hello Ladies, intro, spotting question
I think call the doctor in the morning. If you call today they will just tell you if it isn't red then there isn't anything to worry about, which isn't always true. If you go to the ER they will run a blood test to check your HCGs, which won't tell you much since you need a second number, and/or do an ultrasound where you won't see much since you are early.
Just rest today, drink lots of water and see how the rest of the day goes.
I'm going through this right now.
I started to spot yesterday very similar to how you described things with a couple of exceptions. I have been shockingly soggy in the lady region since becoming pregnant and have an inappropriate discharge amount on a daily basis. Thank goodness for pantie liners. Anyway, yesterday my inappropriate discharge looked like there was old blood in it, the pantie liner was covered as usual but it was a beige color instead of the typical white/cream.
I naturally panicked and called the midwife who told me to go home (I was supposed to be working on my feet all weekend) and lay down. She said that since it was not blood but was a small amount of blood mixed with normal discharge that I should be fine.
Personally, my fears are coming from the fact that it's still happening today and I have this intense pressure in my vaginal canal whenever I stand up. The midwife said that if I'm still worried on Monday morning they'll have me come in for an ultra sound to check the heart rate.
It's just so scary to see anything out of the ordinary. I love this little blueberry so much already and I want it to be safe.

Thanks to everyone for your replies! It makes me feel worlds better that I am truly not alone here! I hope that all of our outcomes are good! I am about to post an update for ya'll. I was going to update this post but it makes it way too long to read..
Fallon, the last time we BD was Thursday and my first spotting was Saturday night. Could be related, I hope. At least that could explain it.
