sexy time=going into labor??

Those of you who had sex, then went into labor, how long did it take? My husband and I did it today, so I am hoping it works, the doctor told us to do it!!

    I have not had any success with this OWT. :( 

     

     

    Baby Boy Born 3.15.11. 8lb 9oz, 21.75in. 6 month stats: 20lb 11oz (92%tile), 30.12in.(100%tile - who knew it went over 99th? Which means 100% of other 6 month olds are shorter than mine!)

    We have been having sex a lot, along with all the other OWT's, nothing is working.

    Dh and I just tried that, I thought I had my bloody show on wed but nothing except nausea so far and some mild cramps last night. I asked dh for a deposit. It's so uncomfy for me I must be the most unromantic wife ever. He couldn't get there easily so he had to jerk off to a point, then um, make his deposit. Poor guy, all I want from him is his sperm.

    I feel the same way!! My DH asks if he can do anything for me, and I tell him to do what he did to get us in this "situation", jokingly(SP) of course, we definetly planned for this baby. So far he has not wanted to because he is affraid the LO can feel "him". So I am happy he gave in! Now I just am waiting for his magic potion to do its magic! So far some mild contractions, and I have had like 3 loose poops(TMI) I guess I am not even sure if that is a sign of labor, but I thought I read somewhere that it is.

    I just told mine to go watch some movies to get ready for me. So not romantic. ;-)

    Tried it yesterday...not gonna do it again until LO comes out.  It was so uncomfortable and unromantic.  

     and still...no baby...ugh!

    We've been having sex right along since day one, neither my libido nor his has lessened in any way. I thought it was a good thing... but now I'm not so sure. Because the fact we have sex regularly doesn't make me feel like I'm about to go into labor, lol- so maybe my body is just immune to it? I don't know.

     To answer OP's questions- no. Sex hasn't helped me go into labor. Unfortunately. I'd do just about anything at this point to get baby out of me. He's so damn /big/, I think he's going to legitimately rip my belly open and just climb out.

    It hasn't worked for us...

    neither has spicy food, pineapple, walking, or bouncing on the exercise ball 

    I've been closed up tight at all my appts lately. Not even a hint of contractions. No MP. Nada. 

    ETA: I've also been doing things to "tempt fate" so to speak.... I bought these super comfy yoga pants to wear in the hospital and packed them in my bag. I've wanted to wear them a few times, and thought, "As as soon as I get those out and wear them, I'll go into labor and won't have them for the hospital!" So, I've left them alone. Friday I was like, What the heck! If I go into labor because I dismantled my hospital bag, so be it! I'm ready! ;) Today I'm thinking of driving an hour south of my hospital to the beach... maybe that will make her come. hahahah

    We still have sex regularly, never stopped and my cervix isn't even thinking about getting close...

    We did it at least every other day starting at 38 weeks... I had to be induced at 41 weeks.  It's possible it helped efface my cervix, but other than that, mmmm no.
