Finally, a good day!

Sam had a few rough days with a septic work up (everything negative). He got a blood transfusion. He had a bunch of MAJOR spells. Once his got his transfusion, he's done a complete turnaround.

He's actually made it to an open air crib! His CPAP prongs came out and he breathed on his own for over 5 minutes, without any oxygen support. Once his O2 level dropped 5%, they gave him forced air a few inches from his face while waiting for a RT. She actually said within a few days she wants to try cannula with him. I'm so happy that the staff sees such growth and progress.

    Wondrful news! Transfusions always helped Andrew so much and it was always evident after the fact that he really needed it. So glad S had a good day, and hope his great breathing continues.
