Roman?

What do you ladies think of the name Roman? And btw my H name is Ramon and he LOVES the name Roman. He's so set on that name. I find it a little weird that the names are so similar!

I have a friend who named her son Roman and I love it. But I do think it's a little gimicky to have a Ramon and Roman.

i like roman, but i'm not sure if i like it for your kid since your husband's name is ramon....i think they're a little too close.

I adore adore adore the name Roman. But, I'd be really hesitant to use it if my husband's name is Ramon. They sound too much alike, IMO.

Roman is great! It's one I'd consider using myself, actually. I don't really mind similarity in names between parents and children- I see them as separate entities... well, unless it's George Foreman situation. I think it also depends why your husband likes the name. If it's because it's close to his name, I think that would bother me a little (like, "And where is my namesake?") but if it's just coincidental, then I'd be find with it. If you don't like it, don't agree to it, but I really like Roman.

I like the name Roman. And I like the sentiment behind Ramon/Roman. But I think it might be a little much. If you and your DH like it, however, go for it!
