Our kids go to bed at 8 most nights (or a tad before) so we do push back bedtime for DLS...no way could I handle them being up until 9:00! We have a hard time getting them to bed before 7:30/8 because we're usually not home from work until after 6:00.
We aren't planning on it. That reminds me of when my brother and SIL tried to keep their kids on central time when they came out here. I figure her body will regulate in a few days like ours will. But then again, we're first-time parents, so what do we really know?
We successfully kept LO on Pacific time the week we were in Michigan. It was really nice to have him up later with us, and also sleep in later. It saved us a ton of headache (and 3am wakeup calls!) coming back.
We aren't doing anything... LO is asleep 6:30/7pm - 5/6am now, so we will happily have that shift to 7:30/8pm - 6/7am.
We dont alter or do anything to prepare, Holden always seems to must magically fall asleep and wake up at the same times even with daylight savings time.

same here. I think the rhythm of the day just puts everything back to normal quickly. So tomorrow if they sleep late (regular time turns an hour later) I might do naps and bedtime a half an hour later. But by Monday they will be back to normal hopefully.

Yep, that's exactly what happened this morning. Oh well!
I try to shift a bit because we need to accommodate work schedules in the morning, but like others said, he seems to just shift on his own. We were hoping he'd stay on Pacific time in Florida this week, but lo and behold, he shifted himself to local time over the course of a few days.
Am I the only person who's kid doesn't have a regular bedtime or a regular wake up time? C goes to bed for the night anywhere between 9-10:30 depending on how/when she naps, and wakes anywhere between 8-9:45 (waking 3-5 times during that stretch to eat, of course.) We don't worry about adhering to a regular bedtime at this point because with DH's variable work and school schedule we sometimes don't get to have dinner til after 8 or 9, and we just roll with it. When she gets sleepy she goes to bed, whenever that is. So DST doesn't really affect us at all.

At that age with Ben that's how we were. With Cooper things have been a little more regular, but I dont' remember what we were doing at that age. How quickly we forget!

Bren goes down as early as 5:30 and as late as 7:00 some days depending on naps, but 6 or 6:30 is his usual. He gets up the same time of day no matter what time he is put down. I just follow his cues. I'm pretty sure he is on the higher end of the sleep need category, though.

This! Maeve goes to be around 6:30/7 so I barely get to spend any time with her when I get home from work. I'm excited to have an extra hour with her.
We don't adjust and I'm hoping this helps her sleep better!
I am not happy to be losing an hour of sleep though!
