NBR such a relief! (taxes)

Just finished my taxes.. the most complicated I have done so far! Between DH and I, we had to file in three other states. We both worked wherever we could until we got here.

We don't get much back, but enough to get our couch paid off and money in the bank for the baby!

YAY!!!

  • Awesome =)

What did you use to prepare your taxes? We were going to get ours done with an accountant but are thinking of doing it ourselves.

    I'm nervous about that though..

  • I have used turbotax since I have had to do taxes. Goodness.. four years now?

My grandpa started helping me with my first when I was 16-17, and from then on I took over. I haven't had to deal with anything other then w-2's. No house selling, buying big things etc.

I personally love it. It takes you step by step, and notices when things don't quite add up right.

I think its $19.95 for the basic version. (What I use) and then $39.95 to e-file for state. Which I don't think you have to do for Wa if I am correct. (Cost me a fortune to file for Ca, Ma and Or!)

  • We also use TurboTax, but we use the free version since we don't have anything more complicated than student loan interest (for now).  We did ours last weekend and I'm glad they're done.  They never take that long to do (30-60 mins), but I always hate knowing it's time to do them.

  • Yes  I also used TurboTax.  I like how they spelled it all out for me.
