the actual test only takes about 5 minutes or less...it's changing into a gown and answering questions and waiting for the doc that takes time....i would say plan on being in the exam room for about 30 mins give or take. GL!

it was really quick. From the moment you lie down on the table until you're done really depends on how easy it is for the doctor to put the catheter in and how easily the dye flows though, but it could be as quick as 5 minutes. My 2nd HSG took all of 5 minutes. My first took longer (15 minutes?) b/c my tubes were spasming.
good luck tomorrow!!

I just had my 2nd one two weeks ago. I got there 30 minutes early like they asked, was brought back to change in about 5 minutes. I had to wait about 15 minutes for my RE to be ready. Once I headed back it I was out and dressed in 10-15 minutes. So really not that time consuming at all!
I was there for 2 hours, but that is only because the radiologist spent an hour talking to me about the risks of the procedure for me since I am allergic to IV Contrast Dye.
The actual procedure took 5 or 10 minutes and after the procedure the nurse sat with me for 30 minutes to make sure I wouldn't have an allergic reaction.
After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
