I saw a post earlier about an odd Indian name, and it reminded me of the neurologist DH saw today. Her name was Preeti. I thought it was interesting, found out it's a form of Priti, also an Indian name. The name isn't my style (or nationality, for that matter), but I think it's kind of pretty, and it means Joy.

I knew a Preeti (of Indian decent) in high school. She was a lovely girl and made me love the name.

A former teacher at my school was a Preeti ( pronounced Pre-thi) and I love it.

I went to high school with a girl named Priti Mystri (yes, pronounced Pretty Mystery). I thought her name was and is about the neatest I'd ever heard.
