A is officially mobile, so we went to BRU and stocked up on baby-proofing supplies. I just want to make sure I didn't overlook a potential hazard. Here's what we got:
outlet plugs
oven latch
door knob covers
cabinet latches

When we were in the process of adopting, I had a babyproofing service come out. One of the big things they emphasized was straps that lashed tall and tippable items to the wall. TVs, cabinets, bookshelves, chests of drawers, etc. Apparently, LOs will climb and pull stuff over on themselves. They also pointed out my knife block on the kitchen island and accessibility of the knobs on our gas range. Toilet locks, too - so LO can't fall in face first into the water in the bowl. We changed all of our door stoppers to one-piece rubber ones; the little cap on the end of the metal coil ones is a choking hazard. We also installed small brackets to wind the cords for all our blinds; hanging cords are a strangulation hazard. We changed out all of our outlet covers to a style with spring-loaded, retractable covers over the plug entry. Some little ones are pretty smart and figure out how to get outlet pug inserts out. Some of this may be overkill, but it was all inexpensive changes. So, I figured, why not?

Ooh, I forgot a couple others: turning off the gas for your gas fireplace or installing a barrier to keep LO away. A little girl in Denver burned her hands badly by touching the hot glass front of a gas fireplace. Also, locks for front load washers/dryers (ours has an electronic lockout built in). And bumpers for sharp edges on furniture and fireplace surrounds. We're also babygating off our loft/office to keep LO away from the computer and power strips/cords. (Can you tell I'm a paranoid mama??)

Do you have any low furniture with corners like coffee tables or entertainment centers? We have a TV stand that has sharp, pointy corners, and we got a pack of foam corner cover thingies (technical term of course) to put over them. This was especially important when she was learning to walk because her favorite place to pull up was the entertainment center.
