So I'm a very very anxious person, especially when it comes to hospitals. I'm an RN, but terrified to be the patient.. Crazy I know. I was wondering what relaxtion techniques you guys have used or plan on using. I'm a big believer in "mind over matter". Just wondered what worked! Thanks!

Well, after 6 months of weekly sessions with an awesome therapist, I'm pretty good now at automatically relaxing when I feel an anxiety "trigger" coming on... but for a short-term solution, you could try consciously relaxing your muscles, starting from your head and working your way down... and you can also try focusing on things you're grateful for & happy about, because it's hard to be anxious when you're filled with gratitude for something.
