anyone use Mylicon?

We had another one of those nights last night where, despite all my best efforts, I couldn't get LO to burp after feeding him. But I would lie him down and he would immedietly start screaming in pain and frustration. It was clear he needed to burp, I just wasn't able to help him.

I've read a little about Mylicon. Anyone on here use it for their LOs? Does it work? Any weird side effects I should know about?

yes we use it. yes it works. sometimes it can cause constipation or diarrhea....odd i know.

try putting him on his tummy. when h has to burp that trick always works

FYI- the generic Mylicon is $1.97 at Target. don't pay for brand name.

We'll sometimes give it to him prior to a feeding to reduce gas. It seems to work well.

We use it at every feeding. I don't know that it helps him burp but it certainly helps break up the gas.

yes we use it.....my husbands uses it more then I do....but it has always worked for us....I havn't noticed any side effects....I say buy it Big Smile

Not at all targets. I was just there 10 minutes ago and generic is $3.64.

We stopped using it! Our pedi says it doesn't do anything. doing the bicycle movement with his legs, or laying him across our legs on his tummy works the best. If we notice Royce is struggling passing gas we push his legs bent up to his tummy to help work the gas out.
