My husband has a nook and uses it every day! He loves it. He chose the Nook over the Kindle because you can download library books for free onto it (Kindle does not support the software needed to do this)

This! I have a nook and I LOVELOVELOVE it!!
Aparently there IS now a way to convert lib books for Kindle but it is super simple with Nook. And it uses an Adobe program to do it so he should extra like it
I got hubby one for an anniversary gift. At first I think he was a little skeptical but now he loves it and totes it around everywhere. He especially likes to read in bed at night, he has a case with a light on it from Amazon. He mostly reads giant sci-fi books so it's nice to have a lightweight screen instead.
I love mine. I don't think there's any need for the 3G version, the cheaper wi-fi works great if you have wireless at home. Now I only have my little kindle on my beside table instead of the piles of books I used to have. DH was skeptical, but now he wants one too. It syncs with smart phones too, so I read my phone on the bus, and the kindle at home/traveling.

I got one last Sunday for my birthday and I LOVE IT! I read on my lunch break and at night and it is perfect. No more bobbling around with my food/fork/book. It is lightweight and I just plop it on my legs and read at night and no more huge stack on the night stand is awesome.
